What Makes a Super Affiliate?

Have you ever wondered what makes a super affiliate? Just what do they do differently and how do they earn such high commissions? Do they have special tools or marketing tactics? Can you implement those things?  There are a number of things  super affiliates do successfully, but they are generally also known as a super reviewer.

Product Reviews Are Powerful

A review is actually more than a valuable piece of content you can publish on your website, blog, or article directory. A review is perhaps one of the best ways to pre-sell a product or a service and it can keep on working for you in the future. As an affiliate marketer, you should know that the best way to earn commissions is to pre-sell the products you promote. Have the person ready to buy before they hit the sales page.

Reviews get the job done because they offer unbiased information. They highlight the pros and cons of a product or service, summarize the benefits and then tell a reader where they can buy the product or service.

However, a super affiliate takes their reviews a bit further by:

* Being Focused on Benefits – It highlights what problem the product solves and stresses the benefits. It answers the question the reader really wants to know: “What’s in it for me?”

* Getting Personal – It shares examples or tells a story about how the reviewer benefited from the product or service. This turns the review almost into an endorsement. Personal experience is very persuasive. The best super affiliates rarely ever promote a product they haven’t tried. If they do, it’s normally on their wish list or the product creator is well known for over delivering on quality.

* Sharing Their Honest Opinion – A great review provides an honest look at both the pros and the cons of the product or service. If a review doesn’t list any flaws, then the reader is going to be suspicious and not trust the opinion of the reviewer. Nothing’s perfect. Super affiliates know to tell what they didn’t like. They also know that this may not be an issue for you, but they share their honest opinion and let you decide if it’s an issue for you or not.

* Knowing That Facts Tell a Story – It provides the raw data too. People make buying decisions based on their emotions. This is why it’s so important to stress the benefits and what problem the product or service solves. However, they reinforce their buying decision based on facts. These facts include price, features, and even where the product can be purchased.

* Serving Their Market With a Purpose – It  serves the purpose of helping you to make an informed decision. While you may have a few links to the sales page throughout the review, a super review always ends with a call to action.

* Using a Call to Action – A top reviewer always gives the reader a call to action. They may list the link in their review several times, but at the end, or in the closing they will issue a call to action.

A leader in affiliate marketing and being a super reviewer is Rosalind Gardner. She is also the author of The Super Affiliate Handbook. It is a well known publication and has created many super affiliates over the years.

Guerrilla Marketing in 30 Days Workbook

This post covers a book that’s on my personal Wish-List. At the time of this writing I have not personally read it, but I definitely want to.

If you’ve been looking for a Guerrilla Marketing workbook to help get your campaign off the ground, the Guerrilla Marketing In 30 Days Workbook looks very promising. You can use it on its own or together with Jay Conrad Levinson’s popular book “Guerrilla Marketing in 30 Days”. If you’re not familiar with Jay, he’s written numerous books on marketing and is one of the leading experts on the subject. This is why his books are on my wish list.

This workbook is essentially a 30 day bootcamp to guide you through the process of implementing your own effective marketing plan. It is an intensive, step-by-step guide to learn everything you need to know about online marketing, buzz marketing, PR, networking, competition and research, target marketing, identity and branding. Other topics include direct selling, fusion marketing and strategic alliances, position and niche marketing.

The workbook consists of 30 different hands-on exercises and tasks and ideally, you would complete one exercise a day for the best results. Each exercise helps you to create a successful marketing plan. Once you’ve mastered all the tasks in the workbook, you should have a plan that is ready to be launched.

I like the idea of a hands-on workbook that allows you to complete exercises while you learn the best strategies that fit your personal needs. This workbook can give you the edge and  know-how to develop a marketing plan that is effective in moving your business forward.

Article Marketing – Great Way to Get Free SE Traffic

When it comes to tried and true marketing tactics, few have stood the test of time. However, article marketing has always been a fantastic way to get free search engine traffic. Today it’s still true. If you’re looking for a quick way to drive traffic to your website, few tactics work as well as article marketing. Here’s how to make it work for you.

#1 Create content that offers value. Article marketing works best when you’re publishing top quality content. The more value and benefit your article offers, the more attention it will get. On article marketing sites this means you’ll get more readers.

It also means you’ll have more website owners publishing your content. The more people who publish your content, the broader your exposure. From there it’s a simple process. As each person reads your article, they’ll click through to visit your website. More readers then means more website visitors.

#2 Write a headline that captures attention. Your article may be the best article ever written. However, if the headline doesn’t grab a reader’s attention, it’s probably not going to be read. No one will know how wonderful your content is. Your headline plays a very important role. To grab attention there are a number of headline styles that work. They include:

* Numbers – 10 tips to look younger today
* Benefit – Discover how to look younger today
* News – Newly discovered secret promises fountain of youth
* Question – Do you want to look younger without spending a fortune?

Take a look at headlines that attract your attention. With a little practice you can quickly discover how to write attention- grabbing headlines. Also, be sure to pay attention to the data. Look at your article data to find out what articles are published most often, what articles generate the most click throughs and what articles are read the most often. That will help you learn what your audience responds to.

#3 Make sure to include a call to action. Each article directory has its own guidelines about what’s acceptable. Some allow you to include embedded links in your content. Some allow photos and graphics. All of them allow an author’s box. This little box is where you include not only a brief sentence about who you are, but also a call to action and a link to your web page. If you’re driving traffic to your website, then you may link to your landing page.

A call to action is an important element many article marketers overlook. However, it’s essential if you want to drive traffic to your website. People need to be told what to do next. If you don’t ask them to visit your website, chances are they won’t.

Article marketing is still a very effective marketing tactic. Choose one or two quality article directories, create a content plan and start using this free marketing tactic today. You’re going to love the results.
